from an unknown cause yesterday
and for a time, it was feared

Bonts to Socialists Picnic. Spe
cials boats will run from tho old
Dean dock, near B' street, to East
side tomorrow to carry the crowds
to the basket picnic to be given at
Eastside by the Socialists. It is ex
pected there will be a large crowd
present. Everyone Is expected to
bring their own lunch but refresh
ment stands will be provided for
those who cannot do so. The speak
ing will commence at 10 o'clock and
