The $100,000 Stock of Strain's United Stores Company, of Portland, Marshfield and San
Francisco, has been placed by the creditors in the hands of
LEWIS BROS. & COMPANY, of Chicago,
Mr. Boland, representing Lewis Bros,, arrived in Marshfield on the steamer Alliance, with a cargo of up-to-date goods from Portland, and is making
arrangements for the most gigantic sacrifice of prices ever attempted by any man, regardless of cost or loss.

This immense stock of Men's and Boys' Shoes and Clothing, Furnishings, Hats, Women's and Girls' Shoes, Ladies' Ready-to-wear

known as the United Stores of Port
land and Marshfield, Or., and San
Francisco, Cal., in the hands of
Lewis Bros. & Co., of Chicago.
Lewis Bros. & Co. are to have full
and complete charge of the United
"Stores for a term "of 15 days, begin-v
ning Saturday, August 1st, and are
given authority to sell merchandise
at prices low enough to assure the
sale of $30,000 jn 15 days.
