Plans Not Ready. Judge John F.
Hall says that the proposal to en
large the Coos county courthouse
lias not pissed the stage of discussion
yet and that no plans have been pre
pared or ordered for the work. The
commissioners feel that the demand
for additional room in the offices will
shortly necessitate the enlarging of
the building, though.

Yale of San Francisco, the nestor of
the" traveling men making Coos Bay,

is to convey material for the repairs
for the bridge from tho lighthouse to
the main land, under the supervision
of Captain A. E. Withers, who ac
companies the Heather and will be

definitely. Old Well Filled. Graders on 'B'
street yesterday discovered an old
well that had been forgotten, the top
having been covered over. It was
put down many years ago by Gow
Why and supplied water through
pipes to a number of buildings. It
wasn't very deep but Gow Why main
tains that tho quality of the water
couldn't be beat. The graders also
encountered a monster stump that
was far from being decayed, recalling
the fact that it has been so long
since 'B' and Broadway became a
business section.
