Lower Bay Rough Sunday.
Messrs. Goodriim, Hopson, Conrad
and Manuel spent Sunday on the
beach near Charleston Bay. They re
port that the lower Bay was very
rough on account of the strong wine,
all the occupants of tho launch being
'trenched by tho epray on tho return
trip.
CoqiilHo Boy's Caso Settled.
Prosecuting Attorney L. A. Liljeqvist
returned today from Coqullle where
he adjusted the trouble growing out
of the arrest of Walter R. Hatcher,
a young boy, for the theft of $150
from T. J. McAdams, were Hatcher
was residing. The chnrgo cf rob
bery was dismissed and young Hat
cher was turned over to Allen Mc
Leod to be taken care of.
Prospect Avenuo Meeting. Tho
property owners of Prospect avenue
met Saturday evening at the ofllco of
Justice C. A. Pennock and later ad
journed to tho ofllco of City Engin
eer Sandberg at the request of Mayor
Straw who was In attendance. Tho
plan outlined In Tho Times Saturday
was agreed to, on condition that tho
grade established by, tho city engin
eer a month ago be adhered to. This
was agreed to and tho Improvement
of the street will be ordered by tho
city council Tuesday night.
Catholic Sunday School Picnic.
Tho children of the Catholic Sunday
School enjoyed their annual picnic
yesterday at the ranch of their teach
er, Mrs. Elizabeth Adams, on tho
South Coos River. About thirty
children and a few of the grown ups
boarded the launch Shamrock and
spent tho day in the cool woods. The
dinner provided was a winner both
as to quality and quantity, nnd every
one thoroughly enjoyed tho day. All
