Tho Breakwater sailed from Coos
Bay for Portland today with one of
tho largest passenger lists of tho
season. Captain Magenn expected to

TO BE HELD TUESDAY.

Died in Arizona Brought to
Marshfield For Ruriul.
The funeral of W. H. Gamble, the
well-known Coos Bay man who died
a few weeks ago at Tucson, Ariz.,
where he had gone for the benefit
of his health, will be held from M.
J. Mangan's undertaking parlors in
Marshfield Tuesday afternoon, at 2
o'clock, burial being in the Odd Fel
low's cemetery. Tho body will be
brought here on the M. F. Plant
from San Francisco. The Rev. Dr.
Horsfall will officiate. Tho Gamble
meat markets in North Bend and
Marshfield will be closed all day
Tuesday on account of tho funeral.

Old Soldier Needs Care. Frank
Fuller, a veteran and member of the
G. A. R., who resides on tho road
to Ferndale, is reported to bo badly
in need of care. Ho Is crippled by
old wounds and Is ill. Ho lives alone
and is no longer able to care for him
self. Tho local G. A. R. will prob
ably be requested to provide care for
him.
Miss Millls Will Sing. Miss Mabel
MIIlls, tho daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
C. J. MIUIs who has Just returned
froni New York whero she has been
taking advanced musical Instruction,
will sing at tho Baptist church to
morrow. While she was tired from
