Harrington, tho lineman of tho Coos
Bay Gas and Electric Company who
was severely injured a short time
ago by falling thirty feet from the
top of a pole In Ferndalo, Is Improv
ing. Ho was able to bo moved from
the Emergency hospital to his homo.
His many friends are hoping for his
continued rapid recovery.

has retired from tho North Bond
Hardware Company. His partner, P.
N. Reborg takes over Mr. Smith's

operation tomorrow. Her many

cessful outcome of her Illness.

tho Nelson Iron Works, who recently
went to Portland to have a pleco of
steel removed from his eye has writ
ten friends hero that tho physicians
hope to save the member, but it is
not likely that tho sight of the optic
can bo preserved. While receiving
treatment, ho and Mrs. Wade are vis
iting relatives at Salem.

usually large number of wild pigeons
are seen In that section this spring.
