being offered by this store. Many people are being supplied daily for the reason that we
are giving them good goods at a trifling cost, in many instances making them a saving of 25
to 50 per cent We are not holding back anything for this occasion, everything goes

CLEAN UP SONG.
NORTH BEND NEWS
Everybody all together
Clear aWay tho dirt;
Never mind about tho weather
Clear away tho dirt.
Banish rubbish from tho scene,
Un and down and In between
Let us make Coos Bay clean
Clear away tho dirt.
Everybody bravely rally
Clear away tho dirt;
From tho back yard and tho alley,
Clear away tho dirt;
Get the spade and rako and hoo,
Let tho water freely flow,
Forward! Chargo against tho foe.
Clear away tho dirt.
Everybody get in action
Clear away tho dirt;
Magnify tho town's attraction
Clear away tho dirt!
Make Coos Bay clean and bright,
Let no filth remain in sight
"When tho sun goes down tonight
Clear away the dirt.

Tho Cleanup campaign is still be
ing vigorously pushed in Marshflold,
tho ladles in chargo of It being deter
mined not to stop until everything is I
clean. They will not bo satisfied with
half way measures and proposo to
keep at It until tho last bit of rub
bish or debris Is removed from tho
yards, alloys and streets of Marsh
field. Whllo they aro still a llttlo short
on funds to defray tho expenses of
hauling away tho garbage, emtio ad
ditional contributions aro forthcom
ing. Otto of theso canto yesterday
from J. E. Lyons of tho Coos liny
Laundry. "Gonial .Jim" is not only
in sympathy with tho cleanup day
movement but in making tho contri
bution, ho was prompted by another
thing. Tho M. F. Plant has its
laundry work dono horn each trip,
the bchedulo being so that It can be
turned out during tho day or at
night usually. On tho last trip up,
It was delayed and did not get In
until lato Saturday night. They had
to havo laundry and appealed to Mr.
Lyons. Ho realized that It meant
working on tho Sabbath but rather
than seo tho steamship go without
clean linen, ho secured a fow of tho
employes to conto down Sunday
morning and help him get It out. It
was purely accommodation on his
part and In order to demonstrate it
boyond tho doubt of harping critics,
ho turned ovor tho Income from tho
work to Mrs. J. T. McCormac yes
torday to bo used to defraying tho
expenses of the cleanup movement.
May Arret Sonic.
There aro a fow recalcitrants
around Marshlleld who aro balking
on the cleanup campaign. They have
been rcquostod several times to re
move debris and rubbish front their
property. They havo not yet coin
piled and city olllclals have beon In
formed of It.
It was announced today that un
ions tho parties complied with tho
roquosts in a day or two, they wo-ild
,,mivu mm iiiiou jor violating bv nro'tK propc
tho city ordinances prohibiting the thl.t noMce.
One of Cleverest Boxing
Matches Ever Held on Coos
Bay Next Saturday Night.
Tho lovers of tho manly art of
self defense will surely get their
money's worth next Saturday night at
the Skating Rink for Gene Sullivan
and Silent Rowan are two of the
cleverest artists of the padded mlts
In this State. Geno has two prizes
from the Multonmah club of Port
land to his credit winning from the
cleverest boys In his class in tho
State of Washington, whllo Silent
Rowan Is equally as clever and more
experienced. Gene has height and
reach in his favor and tho match
looks to bo about as oven as could
bo made.
Besides theso two boys, tho six
round between D. Sullivan and Dum
my Rowan should bo full of action
from tho word go as the one scoring
tho most points wins all the purse.
Wo all know that tho older Rowan
can give a good account of himself
as his bout with Bert Peterson
clearly showed he knows tho game
ind Dan Sullivan while not so clover
as his younger brother, Gene, can
liiindlo himself sonio too. So, take
it nil in all, thobo who attend will bo
sure to seo plenty of action, and as
It Is for the benefit of Marshflold
Baseball club there should be a good
attendance.
