Is Convulesceiit. The little four
years old son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo.
Schelley is reported convalscent after
a very serious Illness. This will be
good news to many friends.
Hand Injured. J. W. Chapman,
an engineer at tho C. A. Smith mill,
had his hand injured this morning
by getting ill's thumb caught in the
gearing. The Injury was dressed by
Dr. Straw and no serious develop
ments are anticipated.

haB returned from an extended trip
north and west, most of his timo
hoing spent in Idaho. Ho says that
he did not strike n single city or
town that is flourishing 'like tho
cities on Coos Bay. Ho declares that
tho weather was miserable and that
tho climate resulted in Ills illness
for sovoral days in Idaho.
