Woman Insane. Judge Hall was
in the city Monday to examine into
tho sanity of Mrs. Wesley Barlow of
Myrtle Point, who was stricken last
Wednesday. She was committed to
the asylum, and is being hold at the
Western Oregon Hospital until the
arrival of the guards who will ac
company her to tho insane asylum.

morrow. Injured Man Improves H. H. Wil
son, who sustained serious Internal
injuries by falling, while at work In
tho new Williams building on last
Saturday, Is now progressing very fa
vorably. Mr. Mllson struck a 2x1 G
lnch floor joist, displacing tho floating
rib and rupturing a kidney. Ho will
be confined for about,threo weeks.
Meeting Postponed. The meeting
of the fair committee of tho Southern
Oregon Agricultural Society has been
postponed from Wednesday of this
week to Wednesday of next week.
The premium list and race program
will bo made up at the next meeting.
The commltteo appointed to solicit

A Serious Accident. Tho 12- year
son of Wm. BIngaman had a serious
accident Friday. Ho was thrown in
to tho flywheel of tho engine on ono
of the gasoline boats in tho harbor
and his log broken In three places,

ported that amputation would bo

boat established a record mark for
