Working on New Club Quito a crowd of men have been busy all day installing the carpets and furni ture of the Millicoma Club. Nearly all the fixings arrived on the steamer Breakwater and the Lockhart build ing is the scene of much bustling ac tivity. VMDWamtu jrany New Arrivjils Prom the number of new arrivals who have been visiting the chamber of com merce during the past two days, the rush to Coos Bay has taken a second grip on the community. There are moro investors and prospectors in the city at present than thero has been for several weeks. Most of them are anxious to securo ranch property right away and will remain in this section permanently. Others .iro seeklnK manufacturing invest ments while quite a number are seek- , ing employment with the intention or locating hero permanently.. Tried to Stop Him C. F. Chase, rived in Marshneld yesterday by way of Drain. He is delighted with this district and is seeking a moderate sized ranch on which to engage in tho fruit and farming business. On his way here Mr. Chase stopped off to look over the Eugene district and tho chamber of commerce men of that city told him to "cut out Coos Bay" when he said that he was heading for this point. Ho stuck to his route, however, having heard of tho fame of Coos County, and Is happy that ho did so.
