Miss Millie Gould was a city visitor Monday. Miss Black spent Monday in this city with friends. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Getty were city visitors yesterday. Mrs. Frank Itogers was shopping In this city yesterday. Mrs. Enegren, of Coos River, was a city visitor Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Lyon, of North Inlet, were city visitors Monday. Born, to the wife of C. C. Going, on the 27th of October a son. George Ross, of Ross Inlet, was in this city on business Monday. Mr. and Mrs. J. Matson, of North Inlet, were city visitors Monday. Mrs. Carl McCullough left this city yesterday on a short trip to Coqullle. Mrs. George Nichols, from Salem, arrived on the Alliance to visit her son, Thomas Nichols. Mr. A. M. Prentiss and wifo spent Sunday on Coos River as tho guests of Mrs. Frank Rogers. Fred Kruse left this city yesterday after having spent the last week In Marshfield with friends. R. D. Hume, the fish king of, the Rogue, came in yesterday and will he on tho bay for a few days. Mr. P. Jordan, of Ten Mile, brought his daughter to this city yesterday to secure medical aid for her. Mrs. Ferry left this city yesterday for her home In Coquille, after hav ing spent several days at Allegany with relatives. Mrs. S. O. Vandersloot went to Bandon on Monday and will remain In that city for a few days attending to business affairs. Mrs. James Bennett arrived yester day on tho Alliance from Minneapolis to join her husband who is superin tending engineer at the Smith com pany's mills. Mr. E. E. Harris, of Caldwell, Ida ho, is on tho Bay Introducing an en tirely now system of learning book keeping. The method is decidedly unique and is worth investigating. Mrs. W. L. Bachtel and daughter Dorothy, arrived on the Alliance from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mr. Bach tel has just completed a home on his "property on Broadway, and will open a machine shop In the near future. Cant R. E. Peasley, formerly a skipper who sailed from Coos Bay to southern ports, now of Aberdeen, "Washington, is here for a week's visit with friends, and incidentally to look after some business matters. Geo. Farrln recejved word yester day that Great Senior Sagamore J. F. Fltzgerad left Medford on Monday for Coos Bay to assist In tho work of getting 200 candidates for tho adoption to take place December 15, tho time of the big doings. Mr. B. W. Bells, of San Francisco, has been visiting on Coos Bay for a few days. Tomorrow he will leave for Coos River where he will remain for a few days. On returning he will visit friends at North Bend and on next Monday return to his homo In the south. Miss Violet Henderson, of San Francisco, Is on Coos Bay to locate. Miss Ilonderson Is an expert steno grapher and is desirous of filling a position. Marsh has returned .from Pueblo, Denver and Dodgo City, and will make his homo in Marshfield. Mossrs. Rex Largo and Fred I'asley, formerly of the Times, left Marshfield on Sunday for San Fran cisco, where they expect to remain for n time. Thoy will look over tho bituatlon about tho bay and prob ably engage in some kind of work. William Gamble goes to Myrtle Point today for a consignment of sheep and hogs.
