Mr and Mrs. Tom Rooke returned to this city Tuesday after spending a few days at Bandon with friends. Mr. F. E. Alien returned to this city yesterday after a week's ab sence, spent at Port Orford on busi ness. Dr. Hayes and son returned to this city Monday evening, after spending a few days at Coos River hunting and Ashing. Mr. Emmett Pierce, who under went an operation for a sovere at tack of appendicitis, is making rapid strides toward recovery. Mr. Tom Stafford left yesterday for his homestead on North Inlet. Ho took his team with him and lum ber to make an addition to his homo. E. Henckendorff, the Coqulllo Tlver shipbuilder, 13 in Marshfleld Tor a few days. Mr. Heuckondorff 1s thinking of establishing a ship yard on Coos Bay. Mr. Cal Langworthy of Curry county and wife are in this city to attend the wedding of Mr. P. Peralto and Miss Iva Langworthy, which will take place in this city "tonight. Mr. H. Anderson, alias "Mazook," "Who has been spending the last TOonth at the Merer hospital, will leave that Institution this week. Mazook" says the Mercy hospital is tho proper place for a man when sick.
