In tho spring Mr. Brey Intends bringing his family here and malting a perma nent home on Coos Bay. Mrs. J. J. Willow, of Portland, came to this city by way of Rose burg yesterday and will remain for sections of Coos County. Mr. Orln Dayton, of Minneapolis, is In this city for a few days seeking an opportunity to enter Into business. If successful Mr. Dayton Intends bringing his family here this winter. Mr. Elmer Warsley, of Guthrie, Okla., is visiting in this city for a few days with friends. From hero Mr. Warsley Intends going to Cali fornia, where ho will spend the win ter. Mr. O. D. Dwlght, of Los Angeles, arrived here yesterday and will re main through the winter. Mr. Dwlght Intends investing in real es tate both in North Bend and Marsh field. Mr. Chas. J. Elford has returned from a two months' visit to his old home in Sweden. Mr. Elford came to this country in 1872, thirty-five years ago. He spent 10 years in tho logging business in Michigan and various eastern states, then coming to Coos Bay where he has remained 25 y.ears until the 2nd day of July when he left for Sweden, visiting in England and Norway whllo on his trip. Mr. Elford says Coos Bay looks good to him and is far superior to any place he has even visited. BANDON NOTES. Bandon, Sept. 27. Married At the residence of Rev. Horsfall, on the 18th, Miss G. Nichols of Empire, and Glenn G. Rozell, of this place. Mrs. Davo Perkins has been a Ban don visitor this week. President Jones of Philomath col lego was a visitor with Mr. and Mrs. Hlnes of this place for several days past. Candidate Blshel of Curry county was up last night electioneering on behalf of himself for tho Republican nomination for sheriff of that county. A local line from here to Port Oi ford is contemplated by water and with that end in view one of the river boats is now being overhauled and remodeled. John Lamont returned recently from a prolonged visit in San Fran cisco. Tho death of tho little son of Port Sumners is reported as having hap pened some time back, resultant from bursting a blood vessel In a foot race. Bowron of Henryville paid Marshfleld a visit Saturday. Mr. J. L. Ferrey visited his ranch on the Isthmus Thursday. Mr. Frank Smith of Maxwell was In Marshfleld Tuesday. Suplee and Richards returned yesterday on the North Star from a few days' fishing at Ten Mile. They report an excellent time, and say the fishing is tho best they ever saw.
