Miss Kruso and mother, Mrs.NJ Moore, aro visiting in this city for' a few days as the guest of Mrs. Albert JMatson. Mr. R. O. Wayley, of Portland, left this city yesterday after having spent several weeks invistigating the resources of Coos Bay and surround ing country. Mrs. A. B. Kuyken, of Minneapolis arilved in this city yesterday to spend a few weeks with ti lends and relatives, thence going to San Fran cisco and L03 Angeles. Mr. O. B. Owen and family arrived in this city last Tuesday, and will locate permanently, either in North Bend or In Marshfield, according to the best business prospects. Messrs. Guy Swift and Chas. Ban er, of Portland, are enjoying a two weeks' vacation on Coos Bay, visit ing tho various uuminer resorts, alto hunting and llbhing. There has been several complaints entered in regard to the pile of dirt obstructing the travel on Sheridan Avenue. This Is a prominent road way and should not be blocked by personal property. Miss Gertrude Field left this city yesterday for her home In Chicago, 111., after having visited in this city , for several weeks with friends. Miss Field returned to her home to com- jilte her training as nurse In a Chi cago hospital. Mr. S. W. Binnery and wife of Los Angeles, returned yesterday from a three months' visit on Coos River, In order to make preparations for their departure to their southern home. Mr. Binnery Intends to build a bungalow at Sunset Bay next sum mer. The wedding of Miss Bertha Grills and Mr. Claud Fettermler, both of Salem, will taiw place In that clty on October 2nd. Miss Grills is the daughter of Mis. Murphy, of this city, and well known on tho Bay. The heartiest of congratulations aro extended by many friends. Mrs. A. F. Friiyee and daughter Elsie, passed through this city yes terday on a pleasure trip to Bandon, where they will remain for a few deys, thence going down the coast to Port Orford, Eureka and San Fran cisco, returning then to their home in San Diego.
