The season's styles are handsome indeed, and the values are so much better than former seasons. Colors Plain colors will be the vogue. Dlack first, with brown (dark and golden brown), wine and navy blue following In the order named. The materials will be the finest chiffon weight broadcloth, kersey and Sklbo serge. ' General Features The coats for fall, while they will closely outllnt the figure, they are not to be classed as tight fit ting. The lengths range from 40 to 52 inches, and will be mostly worn' In the longer lengths. Sleeves The sleeves are mostly full- length, and formed after the graceful Japanese lines, with the popular cuff finish. Coat Trimmings Very extensive use Is being made of braids with soutache effects as the possible leader. However It is the design rather than the soutache that Is favored. The soutache braiding or "embroidery" as It is now called, is employed extensively in forming the buttons and flat and pendant ornaments, and few coats will be seen without the embroidery trimming. The Assortment While our stock of coats Is not necessarily large, the assortment is comprehensive, and the size ranges are such that everyone can be fitted. Then, too, as in previous seasons, we have only one coat of a kind. This means exclusiveness to the wearer, for no woman will appreciate having a garment that is idendical to that of someone else in the community. Wo would, therefore, urge that you make your selections the coming week, if at all possible to 'do so. You will have the choice of the entire lot, and a large and beautiful line to select from. If you cannot pay the entire amount at this time, you may make a deposit of $5.00 or $10.00 on a certain coat you like, and we will hold it for you. .40 Cases of 9 Received on the Steamer Breakwater Wednesday, a total of over 1500 Pairs, to start off our Fall Shoe Campaign. This is not m:re than a Fourth of Our Fall Shoe Order, which will give you a Hint at the Power ful Shoe Business we expect to do this Season. A year ago Peters' Shoes were not known to the people of C003 Day. Todny, as If by magic, conditions have so changed that more than half the population of Coos County know of Peters' Shoes and WEAR them. II required much effort on our part to bring these conditions nbout. Frankly, the people were not favorably Inclined to change to wearing a shoo they never heard of, although they .openly admit ted the shoes they had been buying were, In many Instances, unsatisfactory, uncomfortable and unre liable, as well as too high In price. Our past experience with Peters' Shoes, couplod with their irreproachable record in almost every other part of the country, where, like at Coos Bay, they are subjected to the severest elements of the weather, lead us to confidently believe In our untimate success in pulling the largest shoo business In this country, with Peters' Shoes. Our hopes were not in vein. Indeed, they have been crowned with success much earlier than wo expected, but none too early for the recognition the Peters' Shoes deserve. But we are not content, even with our largo and rapidly Increasing shoo patronage. Wo have pre pared this year to do twice the business wo did 1nst and we know we will do It. We believe tlr x Gv"y man or woman vho wears a pair of our Peters' Shoes, means not only one permanent friend for the s'ore, but several. Wo have ready now a complete stock of Peters' Shoes for men, women and children. We stand back of every pair of them with a guarantee that they will give value received for every cent they cost you. Men's At this time we will speak particularly of Men's Peters' Shoes. The ones we are offering at $3.50, consisting of 27 distinct styles, are everyone of them a genuine Goodyear Welt with solid oak tanned soles. We tell you there Is not another store in the country that will sell you this grade of shoe with (materials, such as are In these, for a cent less than $4.50, and we know It to be a fact. Those of you who have beep wearing Peters' Shoes know that these shoes are all we claim for them and more. And for those who don't know, wo would say it will be money saved for you to find It out. Last winter wo had an unusually largo demand for a men's wool flat gar ment that would sell for $1.25. Wo searched the markets high and low for just such a garment, a garment that would be one of the greatest buys that was ever offered at $1.25 or $1.50. And wo found It, and by no little effort on our part. A manufacturer up In the New England States turns it out, and at an excep tionally low price to us, too. This garment is a light tan, in a flat ribbed, and if you want to find any cotton In it, you'll have to do better than wo did. We couldn't find it, and gave up searching. We believe It to be practically an all wool garment, and one that would sell regularly at most stores for about $1.35 to $1.50. Our spe cial price from the manufacturer, however, enables us to sell this garment throughout the fall and winter at $1.15 or $2.25 a suit. We have all sizes from 32 to 4G, and we wish you would at least favor us with a look at this garment, and give us your candid opinion. Wo think it is a wonderful value. If you aro In doubt nbout this, compare our trunks, value for value, with those sold elsewhoro. Wo like to have you do this. You Are Hard to Fit Have Your Suit Made to Order We Turn Out The Best Work Wo are now showing the fall and winter samples for tailor made clothing, and among them are some of the snappiest designs over shown for fall and winter wear. Two of tho best tailoring houses in the country make up our tnllormade clothing, tho International Tailoring Co., of New York and Berlin, and tho Mark G. Harris Tailoring Co. These two houses employ the most skillful union tailors in the world, and when the garmonts are made up, the caro nnd skill Is noticeably seen in every one of them. Wo are making suits now for the most prominent men on Coos Bay, and everyone of them is more than pleased. In no better manner can they attest their satisfaction than by constantly sending thoir friends also to us for tailormade suits. Then, too, tho prices are not only right, but aro from $5 to $15 lower than you ordinarily pay for similar materials with less skilled workmanship. Ask to see tho now samples.
