Welcome as tho Flowers In May,"

SU0MI PICNIC DREW
IMMENSE ATTENDANCE
Twelve Hundred People Enjoy Sun
day, Outing on Coos River's
Pleasure Ground. .,
The Suoml picnic hold on Sunday
at Enegren's grove on Coos river
was a big success both from a stand
point of attendance and enjoyment.
Tho gasoline boats wero busy from
morning until night taking passeng
ers to tho scene and returning with
others who had planned coming home
early. Tho amusements were many
and some athletic events were pulled
off. There were between a thousand
and twelve hundred people present
and everybody had a most excellent
time. Dancing was indulged, and
many stayed far into the night to sat
isfy their passion for tho giddy whirl.
Withal, there was excellent order ob
served throughout the day and even
ing, and no unpleasant event occur
red to mar the pleasures.
