House Boat Wns Scene Men's Social Time Last ICvening. of Today will see Marshfield prac tically deserted. There are numer ous events scheduled which will claim tile populace. Every boat on the bay is chartered for some voy age, to Coos Hiver, to Charleston, to North Inlet and Ten Mile, up the North Coos, and Isthmus Inlet. The picnic tinder the auspices of the Suomi society ut Enegrcn's Grove, on South Coos river, will attract a large I crowd. The grounds are a short I distance above the forks of the two Coos branches, and there is every 'available convenience for a day full of amusement. The regular summer people who reside in Marshfield and go to the River every night went out in force yesterday afternoon. Many invited guests also took the regular boats plying to tho summer colony I and the homes will be crowded to day. Tho Sigma Chi boys have a crowd at their boat house, including ! Dr. Haydon, Mr. Frank Lamberton, Will Lawlor, Claude Nasburg, Jack Flanagan, Bert Dlmmick, Robert Booth, George Flanagan, and others. Lumber is on tho wharf for a twenty-foot front addition to the old Dean building on Front Btreet. The addition will occupy tho entire length of the building. Mat Anderson has ordered lumber for four new cottages of five rooms each, and they will be erected in tho southern part of Marshfield, in the vicinity of tho Odd Fellows' ceme tery. The Srajth dredge is dredging at the Marshfield water f.ont belonging to the company. The Alec Lund home on A street, recently injured by fire, is being re habilitated and remodeled. Conrad Lapp of East Marshfield Is building a new residence in that city. Nils Olson is clearing his lots in East Marshfield preparatory to build ing residences. Mrs. G. A.
