OltECrjN, TUKSPAY, JULYS, f" POCAHONTAS LODGE IN COQUILLE CITY Coqullle City Is now the homo of Council No. 10 of the degreo of Po cahontas, Hiawatha Council No. 10 having been organized In that city Thursday night with a charter mem bership of thirty, making It one of the strongest young lodges over trfD in Coos County. Following 'tho organization of the new lodge nil present repaired to the banquet hnil where a flno banquet was served. , .Tho lodge will meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month in the ' Woodman hall. The ladies who went over from tho local lodge for the purpose of Instituting were cordi ally invited by the Coqullle ladles to return Friday night to attend a ban quet and Installation exercises to be given by thoRcdmen. The following members of Saca ,. Jawea Council No. 9 of tho degreo of Pocahontas Instituted the new tribe; Pocahontas, Margaret Welder; First Scout, Mrs. Emma Seaman; Winona, Nora Daley: Prophetess, Mrs. Georgo Farrln; Guard of Tepee, Mrs. H. Mc Laln; Guard of Forest, Mrs. Lizzie Doano; Chief of Records, Margaret Motlln. In addition to the above, Georgo Farrln and Charles Doano i aldo went over, tho former acting as Great Sachem and tho latter as Powatan. 'ity Tho members left Marshfield In the afternoon In rigs, arripvlng In Co qullle about 7 o'clock, soon after which tho organization of the lodge was started. They returned early tho following morning. Following aro tho officers of tho new lodgo as Instituted: Pocahon- ' taB, Mrs. Itoblnson; Winona, Mrs. Supper; Prophetess, Paulino Ossr ker; Powantan, Mr. JohnBon; Chief of Records, Mrs. Whetmore; Keeper of Wampum, Kittle Lenove; First Scout, Dr. Whetmore.
