It is made wholly of Iron—the ribs or runners upo i which the machine travels, lining cast, and the rods which foLm the screen through which ihe clods are 1 ground are of wrought iron or steel. The specimen on exhibition is 4| feet long by 5 feet wide, and, drawn by a light $|>an of horses, is capable of wprf king up tliirty I acres of the most ktnblxjrn clods ilk a day. By this process the clods are not pressed -dowu into the earth, as with many other ma chines, but are stirred up and com- ipletely pulverized in passing ithrough the intricate wires of the “grinder.” The machine has been fully tested by Messrs Martin Lu- per, Phillip Low, and several oth er scientific farmers of Linn, and all spityk in the highest praise of its utility.
