Joshlin and family, of Grizzly, were over today doing some Xmas shopping in Madras. J. G. Bolter and family were in from their home on Trout Craek doing some Xmas shop ping. William Blair, postmaster at Youngs, was a business visitor in Madras the early part of the week. James F. Luckey of Blizzard Ridge, was over Wednesday and made application for proof on his Lormstead. Ray D. Clark whose homestead is located in the Blizzard Ridge country made proof before U. S. Comissioner Turner Wednesday. Thomas J. Bennefield, of La monta, made, final three year proof on' his homestead before the U. S. Commissioner today in Madras. Found Dec. 17, 1912, at the home of Harry G. Key and wife in Madras, a little key, of the feminine yender. Weighing seven pounds. Wilber Bigelow of Lamonta, provd up on his homestead lo cated northeast of Lamonta, be fore the U. S. Commissioner to day. W. E. Daziel, State Inspector of Factories, was in Madras Thursday, looking over the local plants, among them being the City Water plant. Wilford Cook and family of In dependence, are visiting at the home of H. H. Cook, six miles south of Madras, and other friends and relatives in this sec tion until after the holidays. G.-Springer, who will take the oath of office as county judge for the next, term, soon, was in Mad ras a couple of days the early part of the week from his pre sent home at Jmneville, naving moved there a few weeks since.
