MADRAS LETS BEND DOWN WITHOUT RUN Splendid Pitching of Tethorow and Hitting of Ashley and Jackson all Features In a fast snappy game, played before a good crowd, Madras got the long end of 3 tn 0 score in "the game at Bend last Sunday, the pitching of Tetherow being responsible for the tight defen sive work, and the three runs be ing scored as the'result of a sac rifice fly by Cliff Jackson, and a clean three bagger over the lett fielder's head, driven out by Ben Ashley. Madras had other op portunities to score, but the necessary hit was not at hand. Twice Bend had men on second and third with only one one man gone, but Tetherow was on hand with the goods both times, either striking out the batter, or caus ing him to hit feebly to some willing assistant. Some pitcher, that boy Tetherow. And in giv ing credit for the victory, the clever work of Brewster should not be ovrelooked. ' His catch ing was all that could be asked for. A few more games like the Bend game, and Madras will bz proprely respected by all rival clubs. MADRAS REAL ESTATE PROMOTER INDICTED G. H. Marshall Charged by U. S.
