R. T. Olsen, H. E. Rhoads, Wade Siler and Lewis H. Irving went to Culver Thursday morn ing to attend to legal business ia Justice Chandler's court D. W. Barnett went to Culver Tuesday night to be a guest at the birthday party given in honor of his mother, Mrs. Ellen Barnett, by Mrs. 0. G. Collver. Pearl Tucker, who is working at Culver with Gus Loveland, was down-tospend Sunday with his parents, and take in the Mad rasrlndian ball game. Mrs. Fred Davis, who has been on a visit at her ol(J home in the Willamette Valley, attending the wedding anniversary of her parents, returned home last Fri lay evening. Warren Smith played ball so hard against the Indians last Sunday that he has been laid up with tonsilitis since. However he is better the latter part oi the week, and is at work again. Attorney Vernon Forbes and M. S. Latten, of Bend, were down last Saturday attending to legal business in connection with the bankruptcy proceedings of the Red Cross Drug Company. Tom McCormacTc, who has bought the bar in the Pilot Butte Inn, at Bend, came down Sun day morning to look after some local business Bend Monday evening. Born to the wife of M. .S Bacon, at their home five miles east of Mardas, Sunday May 12, a son and a daughter. Mother and babies are doing well at last report, and parents are happy and proud.
