Mrs. Abbie Woodward, a for mer resident of the Opal Prairie section, passed through Madras last week on her way to her ranch near Culver. W. H. Bishop, traveling sales man for the Pacific Coast Biscuit company, was in Madras yester day with a large assortment of Christmas goods to interest the local merchants. Mrs. M. E. Percival returned to Madras Wednesday evening from Portland other Willamette valley points where she has been spending the summer visiting friends and relatives. The Tum-a-Lum Lumber Co. has lately purchased another lot adjoining their present location to make room for their wood and coal which they have added to their lumber business. Rev. Sias is moving into town this week from his ranch on the Little Plain. He will occupy the Sweeting cottage. J. L. Campbell, proprietor of the Madras Meat Co., has handled all the hogs brought to town thus far but owing to lack of trans portation at the proper time finds himself overstocked. Green & Clark of Haycreek and Stanley Grewell of Trout Creek are among the big hograiser of Crook county who sold to thej Madras market.
