Mr. Maben brought in about 2500 pounds, the prime reason of his coming at this time being to take back a load of salt, his firm and a neighbor sheep man having shipped in a carload for their flocks. Shearing is generally under way throughout the county. The Haycreek people have been shearing for the past ten days, Morrow & Keenan began the first of the week, while other flock masters in the Prineville country are getting the work started. The arrival of wool at the warehouse is expected to be al most continuous from this time on, as those who are bringing in the wool are arranging to haul loads of merchandise and other freight back on the wagons. way home from Prineville. While there Mr. Scott invested in forty acres of irrigated land on the northwest side of Powell Buttes, and expects to improve the same and put it under culti vation. His brother has a home stead in that section. Mr. Scott seemed to be much plased with what he found in Central Oregon. Rev. GrcgR to Culver Evangelist Gregg, who is now conducting revival services at the Christian Church upon the close of the meetings expects to go to Culver Junction to remain as the pastor of the new church which was recently organized there through his efforts. A new building has been built, which will be dedicated on May 28, at which time all the members of that denomination in the county will hold a reunion. Kind Words, Brother The Madras Pioneer is getting to be one of the newsiest papers in the central part of the state, and has been greatly improved mechanically within the last few weeks.- Redmond Spokesman.
