mond of Portland, one of the
original owners and locaters
of the Madras Townsite, came
in. on the Oregon Trunk Line, ac
companied by L. Y. Keady, who
and A. K. Bently also of Port
land, Mr. Keady is a son of W. P.
Keady of Portland, and these
gentlemen are heavily interested
in the Gateway Hotel Company,
who are going to build the large
brick or ooncrete hotel at Mad
ras as soon as the material can
be placed on the ground, and A.
K. Bently who is a member of
the Bently Construction Com
pany, has the contract for the
building, which will be up-to-J
date and modern in every re
spect, The excavation for tV s
building will commence the fmt
of next week.
