Sayre & Hendricks, selling agents for the Townsite Co , A. Segal and A. W. Culps they expect to make the trip by auto. Marmaduke Maxwoll of Shaniko, hav ing large sheep interests in that section has disposed of all his holdings both land and sheep to J. E. Htn'oa, a son of R. R. flinton, of that place. The deal involves a transaction of $40,000. Mr. Maxwell Is an Englishman and with his famliy will return to England to reside. The Dalles Optomist. Sunday last, Mrs. S. D. Saturday last George Stevens was thrown from his rig during a runaway and received a severe scalp wound, many bruises and a bad shaking up. The ac cident occurred west of the Deschutes on the Sisters road, and he lay there un conscious several hours before being picked up. He was brought home and Is now steadily improving.
