Joslin and family, who have been IviiiR.iit Lebanon several months arrived in Madras n few days since on their way to their ranch at Willow Cicek, Miss Nellie Reynolds, of Powell Butte, and a former teacher in the Madras school, has been visiting several days nt the home of Mr. and Mr. L. F. Rice. .Mrs. W. lh Snook, son Murice, and daughter Lucile, left this morning for Long Bench, Wash , where they will spend the ituinmer. Dr. Snook accompanied his family as far ns Shaniko. DIED. At his home in Sheridan, June 27, 1910 M. M. Mendenhall, Sr., aged 74 years, after a lingering illness of, many weeks duration The deceased was born in Jefferson county, East Tennessee, Dec. 15, 1835, and was mariied to miss M. C. Kersey 1111864. In 1878 they came to Oregon and resided in Linn county about two yeari before .coming to this country, lie removed with his wife to Crook county in 1901, and on account of his sickness returned to Sheriden two years ago, a large poition of which time he has been helpless fioiu paralysis. lie sides his wife, five children survive him, five sons and two daughter, of these W, E.
