IRRIGATION WILL COME Great interest is taken by the people, of this vitiinUv in the re port of the parties who went to the head waters of the Deschutes a short time ago in the qttest, of available waters to irrigate this section, and whose favorable re port promises that water will be Tput upon our lands in the near future. With this prospect in jView, and the well known and favorable results that ate ob gained by the application of wa ter to-the land in this section, every assistance should be" given the parties'who are promoting theprojectand who are endear oriug to secure the consent of the Pepai'tmeut of the Iuterior to the Use of Crescent and adjoining lakes as reservoirs in whidh to 1 t store waters for the irrigation of the territory Horth of drooked River, of which this is a portion. These parties aie seeking to take up a project of great mag nitude, but that they are capa ble of canning it to successful completion is evidenced by their work in different portions of Idaho, where they have complet ed several projects that are now veritable garden spots of produc tion. What these geptlemen need now is principally moral sup port in presenting a petition to Ike Government shoeing thai .the people of this sebtion are , practically Unanimous in , want ing this territory included in a project under the Carey Act. Every Citizen iTorth of Crooked River should make it a point to see that his name is ou the petition. "KNOW YOiiR oWn sf ATE" .
