(mm Portland. He says that his son,
Pearl, who was taken to Portland several
weeks ago for treatment, has improved
very much and is rapidly recovering. He
was operated upon when he first went to
Portland, since which time he has im
proved steadily. Mrs. Tucker is still in j
Portland and will remain until Pearl is
well enough to come home.

upon the reorganization of that company,
became a stockholder. He desired to go
into the sheep business for himself, how.
ever, and has just made an exchange of
his Interest in the company fnr other
property owned by the company. In the
ettlement he acquires the Trout creek
ranches, about 7000 acres, and 8000 head
of sheep. The Trout creek lands include
some valuable alfalfa ranches, and MV,
ftice has gotten hold of a fine property.
He will continue with the company
through the present Summer,

The infant child of Mr and rs. G. J.
Hardy died Tuesday night at their home
on Agency Plains, after an illness of two
weeks aged about seven months. 'Inter
ment took place in Madras cemetery yes
terday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Hardy
have the deep sympathy of the community
in the loss of their baby. ..
