Rowan were witnesses for Mrs. Lemon at the hearlngi Jack Sommers, who is connected with the Pioneer Telephone Company, was in town the last of the week looking after telephone matters at Madras, Mr. Som mers says that his company Is contem plating a number of improvements in the telephone service at this place, including a switchboard at Madras nnd a local ser vice. Several changes will be made in the line to I'rineville, reducing the num her of phpnes on the main line nnd im proving the through service. It is also their purpose to 'give Madras a better long distance service by giving this place a connection with the loni; distance line at Heisler or Haycreek.
