precincts in the county, and these totals are the correct oilicial count, as iliade
by the county canvassing board last TueBday. James luce, candidate for
Commissioner, had no opposition, and his Vote Was hot reported by precincts.

haste to get the building completed,
solnebody has ' apparently blundered,
but it is hoped that when the building
is finally completed, Crook county will
have an attractive capitol building to
show for its expenditure of $73,000.

EDITH M'PHERSON DIES IN PORTLAND
Edith, xlniuhter of Mr. and Mrs. Col-
burn Mcpherson of Haycreek, died at
the Good Samaritan Hospital in Port.-
land Wednesday pipming, April 10. She
was nuito ill at her hpme near llaycreok

the Portland hospital to bo operated
upon, the news of her death reached
here last Thursday. Deceased was 2i!
