Ramsey of Agency Plains, died at his old home in Missouri on March 22, 1907. He left here last Summer, after offering iinal proof upon his homestead entry on the plains, as it was his desire to spend his last days at his old home,' and he realized that the end was drawing near. Mr. Ram sey was quite feeble when he left Madias, and he never re gained his strength. Ed Harbin left the latter part of last week for the Matoles. where he will make a thorough hunt for the bodjr of Rev. Ho mer M. Street, who was blown into the stream some time ago by a dynamite explo sion. jNo trace of the unfortu nate man's remains has been found so far, and Ed needs the SHOO reward offered for the recovery of the body. The task is a grewsome one, but Ed is used to grewsome tasks, and it anyone can lind Street's body can. lie expected that a TELEPHONE LINE SOLD The local telephone line between this place and J'rincvillc, known as the Farmers' Line, has been purchased by the Deschutes Telephone Company, of Henri, who took over the property last Thursday. The Fanners' line wak built by Jack Summers several years ago, and connects this placo Culver, Ilayntack. Lamonta and a number of ranches along tho route with rnne- ville. The Bend company which bought tho line now owns considerable line in Crook County. Originally organized for the purpose of buildins a line be tween Bend and Prineville, the com pany's line has gradually been extended until it covers practicallv all of Western Crook at this time, It has lines to Kedmonu, Jaidlaw and Sisters, and also south of lieiul, COLUMBIA SOUTHERN RAILWAY CO. Pri neville Review. Dedicatory exercises at -the new church of the Menonite Brethren in Christ, at Opal Prairie, will be held on Sunday, May 19, at which time Presid ing Elder II. J. Pontius of Bellingham, Washington, will be here. The new church building has just been com pleted at a cost of about 1000. The land upon which the church house is built was donated tn the church for that purpose by Frank Hunter.
