Last week the Pioneer announced that
Andrew Larsen.Jr., had opened school
in the Agency Plains district. It was the
intention to open scnom, out tne new
desks ordered, failed to arrive ns expected
and the opening of the term has been
postponed on that account. Patrons of
the school will be notified In due time,
when the seats arrive.

Hie small Loveland drill was set up
over the Madras Milling Company's well
last week, and after drilling about 45 feet
through hard-pan they struck gravel, and
nn abundance of water. The old well
had been dry for some, lime, having been
sunk in the hard pan, and it was for the
purpose of drilling through the haul-pan
into the gravel underneath, that the drill
was brought into use.
('Mnx Wilson, Glenn Loucks and Ed
Mason returned on Monday afternoon
from a three weeks trip into the rnoun
tains, where th ey secured a large number
of splendid views with a camera. They
climbed within about 00 feet of the slim
mit of the middle- mountain of the Three
Sisters group, and. got some .Unusually
fine views there. They, also spent some
time up on the McKcnzie,
