Will Barber has been hauling ice for
the Charles Waterhouse ice house at 'this
place during the week. The ice was cut

has been k,ept in ice houses in that vicin
ity until now.
William Johnson, candidate on the re
pubhean ticket for county clerk, was in1.
Madras (ast Monday. Mr. Johnson ex.
presses himself as quite confident of sue
cess in the election in June, nnd in fact he
thinks that republicans ar,e rallying to the
support of Ihe ticket all through the coun
ty. Although the time is sliotl, he it at

county to meet thc voters.
