The King was shut down about a year ago, since which time it has been flooded with water. Several months ago it was pump ed out in order that an inspection might be made by experts for the Geiser-Hen-drix people of Baker County, and it was reported the mine was about to be sold. After the workings were inspected, how ' ever, the mine was allowed to fill again, and the sale was reported to he off.
