It will in time be supplanted in prominence by other lines of agrioul tin e which are the natu ral accompaniment of an in creasing .population. But it was wheat that-made Oregon famous and payed the way for develop ment1 on other lines, and it is the wheatcrop of the new sec tions about to bo opened up that will, supply the traffic to pay the expenses, while other industries are developing.
