L Loucks at the term of county court which convened at Princvillc the first of the week, Loucks, following the rule un der which hjs license was granted here toforc, secured a majority of the names appearing on the poll books, and made no offott to secure names coming in the pre cinct since the presidential election, while the rcmonstiancc had many of these new names and they were sworn in as legal voters by the parties having the re monstrance in charge, wjiich made a plurality over the petition. It is not yet known here bow Cramer & Stevens fared with their petition, as they followed the same plan as the re monstrance in securing ns many names as possible of legal voters in the precinct, regardless as to whether they were on the poll books, It is also reported that the remonstarncc. fcal on it the names-bf about 25 Indians, and as these Indians have been set of! in a separate precinct jheir names were stricken off both petition and remonstrance and this is thought to give the petition a slight plurality.
