to tell how much can be done with the
money appropriated in tho rivers and

ho ucctssary to build an Immense em
bankment as tho north wall of tho ca
nal. This purl of the canal, und in

All embankments will be solid of con
struotlon and will bo faced with Im

seasons of high water.
