We are glad to be able to announce that Mr.
Sam Bu.vh, who was wounded by Wayne in
Encna Vista, is recovering. Hit wounds were
xceedinly dangerous, one shot having proba
bly penetrated bis luuga, and it ia a source of
relief to his family and friends that bis robust
constitution will enable him to recuperate from
the shock to his system. He was removed cn
Monday from the hotel in Buotia Vista, w htie

are determined to make a lively week of it, and
have offered tbe following additional purse, to
be run on Monday, tbe Hret day of tbe Fair.
There will bo a $200 purse, with 50 entrance
fee for each horse entered, added. The fact
that the following hone have entered gives
token that it will be one nf the nest contested
races of lh week. The ea tries so far are Tom
Kerry, Ryestraw, Billy Bigham, Osoeola, Ore
gon and Rosa Mansneld, while additional en
tries are expected.

tion met yesterday morning at 10 o'clock, to
finish up the business of the Convention before
adjourning sine die.
On motion of Mrs. J. B. Roork an order was
drawn ou the Treasurer to pay for printing
petitions.
On motion of Mrs. Belle Cooke, the vote lo
cating the next yearly meeting at Balem, waa
reconaidered, and Albany selected aa the place
for holding the same.
On motion of Mrs Belle Cooke, a vote of
thanks was extended by the Association to Hon.
D. W. Cheeseman. for his earnest words in be
half of the movement.

adopted.
