Burr Jones was arrested on a charge
of violating the ordinance which pro
hibited the selling of meats on the
street without a licence. He has en
gaged Attorney Albert Abraham to de
fend him, and proposed to test the said
ordinance, by appealing1 the case to the
circuit court, in case it goes against him.

regular meat market license, but refused
to pay the $5 per dayw hich the ordi
nance places upon all who sell on the
streets, unless it is in cases where the
farmer kills his own cattle and thus of
fers it for sale.

streel, Wednesday afternoon, in honor
of her little daughter, Teka's fourth
