Assessor Rtaley and Deputy Rogers
are just completing their big task of
making out the tax rolls of Douglss
county. There are three large rolls and
they represent a vast amount of very
difficult work. The books will soon be
turned over to County Clerk Agee who
will proceed to extend the taxes on the '
same.
Next Wednesday the county court
will convene, and it i expected that
this will lie an unusually full docket, as
many matters of more or less import
ance will be considered.
As the "open" season for deer closes
next Wednesday, many hunters are
taking advantage of the short time in
which they will have a chance to in
dulge in this floe sport. Among those
