Mr. Akers states that when he was a boy he whs told by the family physiv ian that if he never smoked or drank and did not eat old animal food but always eat young meat, and would always leave the table a little hungry he would live to a good old age. He save that he has followed these instructions as near as possible and reaped the results. C. Conner Very III. Ira Conner, Sr.. hud a very severe stroke of paralysis last Friday evening. The stroke eff.-cted his right side, hit arm being completely paralized, and Irs leg partially so, however Dr. Corpn n says that the trouble is now stations, and hopes that iu a month or so it will be relieved. Mr. Conner is fifty years f age and has always been very active, and until a week before the stroke bad no premonitory symptons, and even then he paid no attention to them until the day of bis affliction.
