Charles B Bellin ger, United States District Judge for the District of Oregon and one of the ablest and most widely known jurists in the United States, died at the family resi dence, 433 Holladay avenue Friday after noon at 3 .45 o'clock in the presence of members of the family and a few of hia nearest friends. The sufferer was un conscious, and the pasaiDg of the spirit was to all appearances without pain. The funeral services were held at the Portland Crematorium Sunday after nouu at 2:30. Present were members of the family, friends of the deceased, men - burs of the bench and bar and fraternal societies with which Judge Bellinger was identified. The invocation was pro nounced by Dr. Thomas KUiott, pastor emeritus of the first 1'nita.ian church, of which Judge Bellinger was a trustee The funeral services were conducted by Washington lxxlge No. 4i, A F.
