As a memlKjr of the Christian Science Board Lectureship Judge Ilauna is, as it were, an official voice of an organiza tion which has made phenomenal growth during the past decade and which is to day attracting widespread attention hv reason that it holds out to suffering and sin-sick humanity the hope of relief and redemption. As the doctrine of Christian Science is purely metaphysical in its nature, it is not generally understood by those who have only a casual knowledge thereof and it is for the purpose of correcting some of the false impressions regarding it that this board of lecturers has been appointed. The mission of the lecturer is not to convert or proselyte, but to enlighten upon the subject of which ho speaks with the authority of investigation and experience. The lecture is given under the auspices of the Christian Science so ciety of Roseburg, complimentary to the public and everyone is cordially invited.
