This township consists of a large Wly of tindier land lying almost west of West Fork, and is in the extreme south ern portion of Douglas County. As there have been many "squatters" on this township there is exjxM'ted a largo rush at the Land Office. The last time a new section was thrown open the counters in front of the Land Office rooms were crowded w ith settlers, who slept there all night in order to lie first at the counter, and when the doors were ojiened the rushing crowd broke several panes of glass and a number of fights for positions occurred.
