THE ALDRICH SUICIDE.
Findings and Verdict of the Coroner's
Jury. 1
The suicide of Aden Aldrich on the
Olalla Pioneer Reunion grounds last
Thursday which was reported in the
Plain dhalkr of that date, was the whole
topic of discussion during the closing
hours of the reunion Friday. Coroner
Twitchell arrived ontbe set n i of the trag
edy Thurs lay evening at 6:30 o'clock
and after an examination of the body
empaneled a jury to further investigate
into the circumstances attending the
unfortunate affair. Nothing was devel
oped save the silent evidence of premed
itation conveyed by three sealed letters
lound in the boy's pocket. Of these
epistles, one was addressed to his moth
er, "a second to Miss Gurney and a third
to n local newspajicr. The burden of
their story was the same in each case
and substantially established the sui
cidal intent ami mental derangement of
the unhappy victim. The missives
had been hastily written on wrapping
pa(cr and enclosed in envelopes which
the victim had secured of his sis
ter but a short time prior to the closing
scene of his career. The letter to the
local Mier follows:
To Thk Review: I am going to die
and you can just put it in the pat er
that Kowcna Gurney slighted and in
sulted me lfore a rrowil and it is more
than I can stand. Auks Ai.DRicn.
The jury returned the following ver
