The Pan-American Exposition Company has $804,000 cash to its credit to be devoted to paying an additional proportion of the first mortgage bonds. Already 51,250,000 of the $2,500,000 first mortgage bouds Las been paid. The amount now due on the first mortgage bonds is $446,000. The exposition has nine days more. If it should clear $50,000 a day for the nine days it would have sufficient cash to make the last payment on the first mortgage bouds. If it fails to average a net profit of $50,000 a day there may be a default on a part of the first mortgage bond payment. The holders of the second mortgage bonds seem to agri that no payment will be made to them. The stock holders, of course, understand that no payment will be made to them. The unpaid contractors are clamoring to get the 70 per cent still due them on their claims, but thus lar they have been unsuccessful. The second mortgage bonds total $500,000. The stock represents $2,100,030. The amount of contractors' claims is not stated exactly at present. PRUNEGROWERS UNEASY. Ixxral packers estimate the amount of prunes of the crop of 1900 now on hand at 1000 carloads. The estimated crop of Santa Clara County prunes this year is 40,000,000 pounds, which, together with the estimated 20,000,000 pounds of the Italian variety produced by Oregon, Washington and Idaho, constitute the stock to be disposed of. So far this season neither commercial pack ers nor California Dried Fruit Association have made any particular effort to dispose of this season's crop. All feel inclined to get last year's crop out of the way first. The growers are showing signs of uneasiness, but the fruit association is confident of eventually finding a market for the new crop at a good figure. Prices remain the same, with few buyers. An error committed by some of the provincial police Las led to the premature leaking out of the fact that the war office contemplates the possibility of having to call out every volunteer in the country. The war oflice has distributed to the police officers throughout the Kingdom bills ordering all reservists, military, yeonien and volunteers to report themselves without delay to head quarters with the view of active service. These bills are accompanied by letter ordering that the bills be kept in a safe place until telegraphic orders to post them up are re ceived. The police of Lancaster overlooked the letter and posted the bills, causing widespread perturbation. mpqua Valley Oil Co. Notice for Publication.
