(eVr'sS2f We are redoubling our efforts to make the PEOPLE'S STORE the most popular place for bargain seekers to make their head quarters, as our Fall and Winter goods have arrived and we are selling them at a very low margin. 3 LADIES: and we are selling them from 25 to 50 per cent, get them elsewhere. Our Fall and Winter Stock of -Clothing are now in and one of the latest and most up-to-date, and if you will step in and give us a call you will be convinced that we have the most complete and up-to date line in the city, and you will see that we can sell you cheaper then you can get them elsewhere. We are also sole W. agents for The Peoole's Store ' Told in Side Heads 2 Pbcnks Savkd At Dillaed. Sat Sa bring, one of the operators of the Sebring prune drier, at Pillard, was in town Saturday and favored this office with a pleasant call. ' lie says their drier has cored about 60,000 pounds of first-class prunes this season and that very little fruit was destroyed by the rains in that vicinity, though B. C. Agee was quite a heavy loser at Civil Bend. Prune dry ing is nearing a cloee in this junty, only about one week more being requir ed to finish up . the work. The crop lias by no means been all saved, but, by far, tlie greater part of it is dried, and a fine looking lot of fruit it is. The need of more fruit dryers was rwabxed this year, regardless of the fact that many new ones were built this season. This mill, to a great extent, be remedied by another year. The prune crop is of great benefit to our section, as it re quires hundreds of hands to care for the same, and the pay role reaches thous ands of dollars, besides Uie large amount of money realized from the sale of the prunes. Hois from Son. S. S. Catching re turned biKoe fio-n Cape Noma Saturday, where iib His brothers, Elmer and Lee be spent tht nmmrr working their claims which were located and develop ed last summer. The Messrs. Catching are well pleased with their mining prop erty and the result of their summer's work and will return and operate their mines again next reason. Mrs. Catch ing met her busband in Portland and retornd to this city with him. The bro thers were passengers on the steamer Queen which recently made the record breaking run f rem Some to Seattle in six days ' and fifteen boors. Elmer Catching stopped at his Washington home and Le-j wLl remain at his Port, land borne during the winter. Cattlb Fat o Kakgb. Wm. Nichols, of Riddle is in town and expects to be cxecsed from jury doty on account of preening business at home. Be says prune drying was nearly all completed in the Cow creek valley yesterday and that s good many prunes were lost as a result of the hear rains in that vallev. The Kicbols Bros, recently made the fall rouud-np of their calUe on the rang and found them in first-clara condition, many t so-year o'.d tUers weighing 1000 pounds each.
