ported to General Miles that he can take Sautiago iu 48
hours, but indicates that the undertaking may involve con
siderable loss. He has information of the approach of

lieved that he intends to take the town immediately, and
that news ot" a battle may be expected at any time. The
i Spanish reinforcements referred to arc now within 54 miles
of Santiago.

statement as to our business with that

trustees sake, by advertisement in the
newspaper, for bids on supplies.
We submit the advertisement lo the

asylum, in tho asylum mark, diamond
