On Sunday evening at tbe Methodist church Rev. Moore reviewed tbe lecture given at tbe court bouse two weeks ago by Mies Nettie A. Olds, entitled, "Tbe needs of practical religion." He began with scriptural readings from Paul, Ro mans 1 :14 : "I am debtor both to the Greeks and the Barbarians; both to the wise and tbe unwise." He stated that in replying to tbe assertions and insinu ations maae Dy the lecturer be bad "no sugar coated pills and no fiddle to take them with," and apologized in advance for tbe strong language be might use in bis remarks. He asserted that the term liberalism waa a mianomer, and that Liberalista must be judged by what they are deetructioniate. Cain waa a Lib enlist and so was Nebucadnexzer. It is claimed that 15,000 acres of farming and 3500 acres of mineral land will be subject to tbe proposed ditch. The cost is estimated at $400,000. J. S.
